Still living in Pollock Pines. We have been up here for 13 years and still love the area. George has been retired for 15 years. We just celebrated our 55th anniversary, and took a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands where it all started 55 years ago. We have three children and six grandchildren. Our son, Tony, was born in Hawaii before it was a state. Our oldest daughter, Gina, just turned 50 and our youngest daugher, Lynnette, is 43. Our grandchildren range from 21 to 10. We are dog free for the first time in our life and it sure gives the ability to travel a lot more.

Hi Everyone, I'll see you at the reunion. I'm having cataract surgery on Aug 21 but Joan McDonald said she would drive. No idea what I'll look like but I will be there. I did not get sad news about Sally until after her funeral or I would have been there. She was always sweet & full of fun. Phil & family will be in my prayers. Still live in family home with my daughter, her husband & my grandchildren, twins 11 & 6yr old. They are the love of my life. Would love to hear from any of you. It seems so many friends are dying. I'm sometimes lonely; not always, but occasionally. See you all soon. Philomena

Unfortunately, Suzanne and I can't make it to the reunion; maybe we'll get to the 60th. Like other people we too have added to the population with children and grandchildren; I haven't counted how many lately. In addition to entertaining grandchildren, we recently published the sixth edition of our college text and recommend it to insomniacs.
Because Suzanne has cousins in Paris, Geneva, and Las Vegas, we must go every year and usually plan a trip to Italy as well. We live in the redwoods in the Russian River area as well as in the Clearlake area. I start each day by reading the local obituary column; if I don't see my name, it's going to be a good day. My mother is 96 now and we are required to take her for a gambling trip every month to play the penny slots.
Enjoy the reunion!!!

Joan and I continue to enjoy life in Petaluma where we just celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary. Our three daughters and seven grandchildren all live in the Bay Area so we see them often. I'm now fully retired from my consulting business but keep busy with family, home projects, church, Rotary Club — and serving as the class webmaster.

Our retirement years are busier than when we were raising our family of five because they now include an additional nine grandkids, from eleven to six years old. Our days are blessed with loads of love and laughter.
We moved to Sacramento in October 2011 which puts us equidistant from our two children in Chico and the rest in the Bay Area. Every summer we have "cousin's" week, a time where the grandkids camp out on our living room floor (not enough bedrooms). The week is filled with swimming, park games, WII, sewing, mudpies and cooking and other fun things. Life is never dull or QUIET with family.
Bill keeps busy "nerding out". If you can't find him he is usually on his computer or reading books on many different subjects. Pat is hiding in her sewing room creating purses, scarves, tote bags and acting as "personal tailor" to many others. We are excited to visit with everyone. Bill& Pattie

We've had some major game changers since our last reunion! Most notably, we were fortunate to sell our home (of 40 years) in San Rafael and move to the Lincoln Hills Del Webb retirement community in Lincoln, CA. It's like living in Disneyland!
Most of all we are able to see our son and daughter-in-law more often. We have a golf course view here in Lincoln and have taken advantage of many amenities that are offered to us...golf, cooking classes, painting classes, garden and antique club, etc. Being elected to the Vallejo Athletic Hall of Fame exceeded my expectations. As a result I got to see a lot of old friends, teammates, former students, etc.
We continue to visit our snowbird relatives every winter in Mesa, AZ. We also spent some time vacationing in Quebec City ... and then hoped a cruise to NYC with stops in various ports along the way.

Jolyn (Kramer) and I have been married for 49 years. We have 4 children and 10 grand-children (5 grandsons and 5 granddaughters). We still live in the same home I did in high school. I have been retired now for the past 6 years and enjoying every minute of it. Jolyn has had a "real bad back" for the last 15 years, mulitple surgeries and in constant pain, but a real trooper. The grand-daughters, ages 4-12 spend a lot of time with her, which keeps her real active. I try to play golf at least twice a week and keep current with local happenings. I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion, especially Ken Mickel, my Santa Clara roomate, who I haven't seen in almost 40 years. I also appreciate what Al does on our Class of '57 web-page. And no matter what Gary Anderson says, I am still taller than Moelk and Chavez...See you on the 26th.........Terry Curtola

Moved to Palm City, FL three years ago. Absolutely love it here. I can be in shorts, tank tops and flip flops all year round, well almost. I miss seeing friends in CA put do not miss living in CA at all. I have a little pet sitting business going which keeps me as busy as I want and puts a few exta pennys in the pocket. If any of you all are visiting the area let me know. Palm City is about half way down the Atlantic coast. I'm about 15 min from the ocean. Was able to go to Kauai and be with Pat Silveria Stegall and Danny as the celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary renewal. That was a magical day. Other than that it's just another wonderful day in paradise.

In fact, two days after the reunion we are leaving for a river cruise in Germany with some friends. Retirement has been very good to us and we are lucky to be in good health. Look forward to seeing everyone.

In spite of the heat, summer in Florida can be a very busy time and I never lack projects, some I finish, some I don't! Some I haven't finished are paintings I started many months ago. They are still 'perculating' in the corner until my Muse moves me again! Lately I've been back in a 'writing mode'and not ready to stop yet. I backed off singing this year because of allergies and very high humidity levels. This is not a good climate for singers in the summer!
Usually by this time I am prepared for Hurricane season but that's one of those projects I haven't finished yet either! It can be very time consuming and tiring to 'batten down the hatches'! I'm 'keeping my fingers crossed' we can get by another year without a bad hurricane. With all the fires out west I will try to push any approaching hurricanes your way!
My sisters live in Daytona Beach, my son lives in Boca Rotan and my daughter lives nearby. We all get together and reminisce about how great California was and how much we miss the hills, the weather and even the fog!
I haven't traveled much this year but have plans to go back to Croatia or Italy next year if I can free up some time.
Say hello to everyone for me and wish them well. My thoughts are with all of you.

We have enjoying retirement, traveling, & our families. We now have 9 grandchildren, ranging in age from 3 years to 21.
We've made a few trips to Italy, the last to celebrate out 70th birthdays, cruised to Alaska and last year we went to Turks and Caicos with our daughter Sheila and her family.
Last year we bought a new SUV and drove to Penticton, BC, to buy a new travel trailer. This may, we took a cross-county trip to Ohio to visit our daughter and spent a month traveling there and back.
We are looking forward to the reunion and I hope to gather up some pictures to bring with me.
See you soon.!

I think your idea of putting together a “yearbook” is a good Idea. The thing that I wonder about is that there are not too many “pictures” in it. If you remember the “yearbooks” were full of pictures with very little text.
This picture is of me as of a month ago with my niece and grand niece-in-law.
The second picture shows what I have been doing for the past several weeks. I live in a eucalyptus forest with trees that are over a hundred years old and what the people from Australia call widow-makers.
As one can see, the branch that came down took out the railing on the porch to my house. I still am looking for someone that can put the railing back together.

Hello everyone, unfortunately my husband Dan and I will not be able to attend the reunion. Dan and I still live in Vegas and since our last reunion we have added one son-in-law, two more grandsons and a great-grandson. It is our great-grandson that is the reason we will not be able to make the trip to the reunion. He will be celebrating his very first birthday so we will start up the RV and drive to southern California for a family reunion and birthday party.
At the end of April of this year, two of our daughters and son-in-laws, and three of our grandchildren flew to Kauai, Hawaii to be with us as we renewed our wedding vows of 25 years. Kauai is originally where Dan and I were first married. Teresa (Flegge)also joined us flying from Florida to Vegas and then on the flight to Kauai with us. It was a beautiful day set by a blue lagoon and surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. Most of all seeing our loved ones there to help us celebrate is a memory I will keep in my heart always. It was a perfect day!
After returning home Teresa stayed with us for a few days and treated her and I to the stage production of "Dancing with the Stars" performing at the Tropicana Hotel. It was a fun evening and especially one for Teresa since she is into ballroom dancing. This was a special treat.
My newest hobby I guess you would call it that, is I have joined "Ancestry.com". This sure takes up a lot of time and is definitely a lot of work. I have found some very surprising and interesting information on my ancestors.
I hope everyone has a great time at the reunion, I will miss not being able to see and talk to some of you again, I had such a fun time during our last reunion. Best wishes to all!

All is well with me. I continue to substitute teach in the NVUSD. I went to China last November and it was incredible. My next big trip will be an African Safari for my 75th birthday. My 5th oldest grandson is graduating this year from High School here in Napa. My 13 year old grandson is a professional clown. His professional name is Fill-Up the Clown. You can see him on his web page under his professional name. He is pretty awesome and of course very handsome. I'll have 2 grandsons in college this next year and one trying to get on with a Fire Department up north. I am looking forward to our reunion and can't believe it has been 55 years. Wanted to let you know that I am sorry, but we are unable to join you for the Reunion. We are going to be in Napa to take care of some business earlier in the month and have reservations elsewhere later. The Reunion falls on our 51st wedding anniversary this year, we had a party last year. Where have the years gone???? Jim and I are still in San Diego, we did move to a one story about 10 years ago. Jim had surgery on his Carotid Artery in June, it was 90 percent plugged, hope you have a doctor that keeps an eye on that. They have been watching him for about 4 years. We do a lot of traveling in our RV, usually gone about 6 months a year.
I was very sorry to hear about Sally Avellar.
I hope you all have fun and that we can make it to the 60th!!!! Tina
